What is a biblical worldview?

At Redeemer Bible Institute, we believe a biblical worldview is more than simply knowing Bible stories or attending church. A biblical worldview is seeing all of life through the truth of God’s Word. It shapes how we understand God, humanity, salvation, truth, morality, culture, family, work, and the future. Scripture is not disconnected from everyday life; it provides the foundation for how we think, live, lead, and serve. In a world filled with confusion and competing ideas, Christians need more than inspiration. They need a deep understanding of Scripture and the ability to interpret and apply it faithfully. RBI exists to help believers grow in biblical literacy, spiritual maturity, and confidence in God’s truth so they can stand firmly in their faith and influence the world for Christ.

Why RBI exists

Redeemer Bible Institute exists to equip believers to understand the Bible deeply and teach it faithfully to others. We believe the Great Commission calls every Christian to make disciples by teaching others to observe everything Jesus commanded (Matthew 28:19–20). RBI was created to help fulfill that mission by training men and women to study Scripture carefully, interpret it correctly, and communicate it clearly in their homes, churches, workplaces, and communities. RBI combines serious biblical instruction with practical discipleship in the context of the local church. Our goal is not simply to transfer knowledge, but to develop mature followers of Christ who are prepared to teach God’s Word, disciple others, and live out a distinctly biblical worldview in a rapidly changing culture.

What We Believe

The Bible

We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, divine in origin and completely trustworthy in all that it affirms. Scripture was written by human authors under the guidance of the Holy Spirit and is therefore inerrant, infallible, and authoritative. The Bible is God’s perfect revelation of Himself to humanity and serves as the supreme standard for faith, doctrine, and daily living. Because God is truthful and unchanging, His Word is completely reliable and sufficient for teaching, correction, spiritual growth, and equipping believers for every good work.

God

We believe there is one and only one living and true God who eternally exists in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are distinct in personality and function, yet without division of nature, essence, or being. God is the Creator, Sustainer, Redeemer, and Ruler of the universe. He is holy, loving, all-powerful, all-knowing, and worthy of all worship and obedience.

Man

We believe mankind was created in the image of God and uniquely designed to know, worship, and glorify Him. Through Adam’s sin, humanity fell from its original innocence and entered into spiritual separation from God. As a result, every person inherits a sinful nature and stands in need of salvation. Apart from Christ, man is unable to restore his relationship with God and is spiritually lost.

Salvation

We believe salvation is the gracious work of God through faith in Jesus Christ alone. Salvation includes regeneration, sanctification, and glorification. Regeneration is the new birth by the Holy Spirit, sanctification is the ongoing process of spiritual growth and conformity to Christ, and glorification is the believer’s final and eternal state in God’s presence. We believe all true believers are eternally secure in Christ and cannot lose their salvation, because salvation is sustained by God’s grace and power rather than human effort.

The Church

We believe the church is the local body of baptized believers joined together for worship, fellowship, discipleship, evangelism, and ministry. Christ is the head of the church, and every believer is gifted for service within the body. We believe the church and Israel are distinct in God’s redemptive plan and that the church does not inherit or replace the prophetic promises specifically given to Israel in Scripture.

Last Things

We believe God, in His own perfect timing, will bring human history to its appointed conclusion. Jesus Christ will personally and visibly return to the earth. We hold to a premillennial, pretribulational, and dispensational understanding of biblical prophecy. We believe Christ will rapture His church prior to the tribulation period, after which He will return to establish His millennial kingdom on earth in fulfillment of God’s promises. God will ultimately judge all humanity, defeat evil forever, and create a new heaven and new earth where believers will dwell eternally with Him.
