The Redeemer Bible Institute (RBI) provides in-depth, affordable Bible training for leaders, teacher and anyone seeking a stronger foundation in Scripture. In partnership with the Center for Biblical Worldview, RBI offers a structured, 3-year pathway to Bible Teaching Certification and advanced seminary credit.

A world-class theological education that prepares you for a lifetime of ministry.
Tuition includes the BTCP manual, an ESV Study Bible, Logos™ Bible study software, and supplemental seminary-level textbooks. Successful completion of the program may qualify graduates for advanced entrance in partnering schools and, in some cases, course credit toward a degree.
Bible Study Methods & Interpretation (40 hours)
An introduction to the principles and practice of biblical interpretation. Students will learn to observe, interpret, and apply Scripture with attention to literary genre, historical context, theological themes, and the unity of the biblical canon. Emphasis is given to accurate interpretation and faithful communication of the Bible for personal study, discipleship, and local church ministry.
Old Testament Survey (60 hours)
A survey of the Old Testament with attention to its historical, geographical, literary, and theological context. Students will study the structure, message, major themes, and interpretive issues of each Old Testament book while tracing God’s covenant promises and redemptive purposes throughout the Old Testament Scriptures.
New Testament Survey (60 hours)
A survey of the New Testament with attention to the life and ministry of Christ, the growth of the early church, the apostolic writings, and the book of Revelation. Students will examine introductory issues, major theological themes, and selected central texts in order to understand the message of the New Testament and its witness to Jesus Christ.
Bible Doctrine (60 hours)
A systematic study of the major doctrines of the Christian faith, including Scripture, God, humanity, sin, Christ, salvation, the Holy Spirit, the church, and last things. Emphasis is placed on biblical foundations, theological clarity, doctrinal integrity, and the application of Christian doctrine to life, ministry, and the mission of the church.
Person & Corporate Spiritual Life (55 hours)
A study of spiritual formation in the life of the believer and the local church. Students will consider biblical, theological, and practical dimensions of Christian maturity, including prayer, worship, obedience, discipleship, service, and life together in the body of Christ. Emphasis is given to pursuing an authentically Christian way of life marked by trust in God, obedience to Christ, and love for God and neighbor.
Teaching Principles & Methods (40 hours)
A study of the nature and practice of teaching in the local church. Students will explore biblical models of instruction, lesson preparation, learner engagement, teaching methods, and evaluation of teaching effectiveness. Special attention is given to accurately interpreting and clearly communicating Scripture in ways that support discipleship and Christian education ministry.
Redeemer Bible Institute subscribes to the Baptist Faith and Message (2000) and upholds the doctrinal standards of First Redeemer Church. RBI expects students to have a personal faith in Jesus Christ and should agree in substance with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000. The student should exhibit a character of Christian growth and live a moral and upright life. Students are expected to uphold high standards of academic honesty, originality, and truthfulness.

GENERAL PROGRAM INFORMATION
What is the Redeemer Bible Insiturte (RBI)?
RBI is a ministry of First Redeemer Church and the Center for Biblical Worldview. It provides comprehensive, church-based Bible training that equips believers to study, teach, and apply Scripture effectively. The curriculum is based on the Bible Training Center for Pastors (BTCP) model.
Who can enroll in RBI?
RBI is open to anyone who desires to grow in biblical knowledge and ministry skills. Membership at First Redeemer Church is not required.
Do I need prior Bible training or ministry experience?
No previous theological training is required. Classes are designed for learners at all levels.
Is this program accredited or recognized by seminaries?
RBI works in partnership with the Bible Training Centre for Pastors and has and is pursuing articulation agreements with several seminaries and colleges for advanced placement or entrance exam waivers upon completion.
What will I receive upon completion of the program?
Graduates receive a Certificate of Completion in “The Ministry of Teaching”, recognized by BTCP as a Bible Training for Church Leaders (BTCL) Certificate. The certificate affirms that students have completed a comprehensive course of study in Bible and ministry.
What materials or textbooks are provided?
Each student receives:
- The BTCP course textbook for each class
- An ESV Study Bible
- Logos Bible Software (student license while enrolled)
- Supplementary seminary-level textbooks aligned to each course
How long does the program take to complete?
The full program runs for three years (six sequential courses). Students progress through the curriculum as a cohort.
Can I join at any time, or do classes start on specific dates?
Enrollment opens only during the first two weeks of a new cohort. After that, new students must wait for the next cohort to begin.
SCHEDULE & FORMAT
When do classes meet?
Two class options are available:
- Co-Ed Class: Tuesdays, 10 AM – 1 PM
- Men’s Class: Tuesdays, 6 PM – 9 PM
How often are classes held?
Weekly, following the Forsyth County Schools calendar (with short breaks before and after summer). Each course runs approximately 12–14 weeks.
Where are classes located?
Classes meet in person in the Adult Education Building on the campus of First Redeemer Church, 2100 Peachtree Parkway, Cumming, GA.
Are classes in-person or online?
Classes are in-person only. Attendance of at least 75% is required for course credit.
What if I miss a class session?
The Redeemer Bible Institute follows the attendance requirements established by the organization that produces our curriculum. Because the program emphasizes life-on-life biblical ministry training, active participation and physical presence are essential.
Students must be physically present for at least 75% of all class sessions:
- 13-week course: up to 3 absences permitted
- 22-week course: up to 5 absences permitted
Options for making up a missed class include:
- Attending the alternate class time (morning or evening). If sessions are staggered, students may attend the other class up to two weeks before or two weeks after the planned absence.
- Watching a Zoom recording of the missed session, available for up to two weeks after the class. This recorded option may be used once per course.
Students are responsible for all reading and assignments associated with any missed session.
COST & PAYMENTS
What is the total cost of the program?
$100 annual registration fee plus $200 per course, which includes textbooks and materials. Total costs are estimated at $200 per course times 7 courses plus $300 ($100 for each year of the program) Total $1,700.
How much is the registration fee?
$100 per year.
When and how do I pay?
Payment is made online by credit card or bank transfer at the time of registration.
Are scholarships or financial assistance available?
Yes, limited financial assistance is available upon request.
Are book and materials included in the cost?
Yes, all books, software, and course materials are included.
Is my payment refundable if I withdraw?
The $100 annual registration fee is non-refundable.
Course Tuition Refunds ($200 per course):
- 100% refund up to 3 weeks after the course begins
- 50% refund from Week 4 through Week 6
- No refunds after Week 6
We have this policy because RBI incurs non-recoverable costs once classes begin, including ordering materials, textbooks, software licenses, and administrative expenses that cannot be recouped.

Who are the instructors?
All instructors have advanced degrees, prior seminary training, or are certified by BTCP. They are approved teachers with theological training and ministry experience who model “life-on-life” discipleship.
What textbook or curriculum does RBI use?
The BTCP/BTCL curriculum and the ESV Study Bible, supplemented by classic ministry and theology resources.
Will I have homework or reading assignments?
Yes. Each course includes reading, reflection, and ministry application assignments. Instructors may assign additional homework or in-class projects. For example, a student may be assigned a portion of the next class to lead the instruction. Students must read all Scriptures and manual pages before class begins. Students will be expected to completely read through the Old and New Testaments for each of the survey classes.
How much time should I expect to spend each week?
Students should plan 3–5 hours per week for study and preparation beyond classroom instruction.
